 Greetings I am Doug McHam your Commander for 2008-2009. I
am deeply honored that you have chosen me to be your commanding officer. being the
youngest commander ever for Post 31 here in boulder city has pros and cons. the pros are that
I have a young outlook and many great ideas for the post for the next year. The cons are that I
am considered a "young wippersnapper," that I can deal with you old farts.
The American legion is the greatest veterans organization in the
world and post 31 here in beautiful Boulder City Nevada is the greatest post in the world (my
personal opinion of course) I love and respect every member here not only for what they have
given to this great country but what they give to me and the post every day. I am truly blessed
to be among the finest veterans in these United States.
I only have a few requests as your new leader. First I would
love to see more members attend the meeting every first Tuesday of the month and at least one
coffee club get together every Thursday morning. second please contact me or my fine staff of
officers if you need any assistance with veterans benefits etc.
Again I am deeply honored to be your leader this year and
hope to get to know all of you that I can.
